Interview: Croatia’s Eurovision 2025 Star Marko Bošnjak Delves Into ‘Poison Cake’, Musical Journey & LGBTQIA+ Representation

The brilliant Marko Bošnjak stormed to victory with his atmospheric pop banger Poison Cake at Dora 2025. The musician will take to the stage in Basel as part of the line-up for the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest where he will perform in the second half of semi-final one. Marko kindly devoted some time to chat to Culture Fix’s editor Andrew before being immersed in full scale Eurovision madness.

In our chat Marko reflects on the surreal experience of winning Dora and how his experience differed from his first encounter in the contest, as well as reflecting on his thoughts on the live performance. Marko detailed some of the plans for changing the staging and teased what fans can expect when he takes to the stage in Basel.
