Interview: Australia’s Go-Jo Talks ‘Milkshake Man’, Eurovision Preparations, and Finding Your Inner Confidence

We had the pleasure of sitting down with Australia’s Go-Jo ahead of his appearance at the 69th Eurovision Song Contest in Basel. Go-Jo takes to the stage with his empowering pop anthem Milkshake Man, one of the standouts of the year’s contest, a number that captures his energy and distinct spark as a performer. Go-Jo chatted to editor Andrew about preparations for the contest, constructing the track, and what we can expect from his performance in Basel.

On Milkshake Man, Go-Jo explores working on the track with fellow Aussie hitmakers Sheppard, his friendships with the fellow Eurovision acts, and being able to construct a truly memorable stage-show with his performance of Milkshake Man in semi-final two in Basel. Interestingly, the star spoke about the track as an ode to finding one’s confidence and his personal experiences with that message.

Watch the interview above to hear Go-Jo delve into Australia’s history in the contest, picking out his favourites of the former Aussie entrants, explored tackling Gina G’s legendary Ooh Aah… Just a Little Bit, and his favourites from the wider Australian music scene.

Thanks to Go-Jo for taking the time to chat and his team for organising. You can connect with Go-Jo here.
