Trailer: Nicolas Winding Refn’s Neon Demon

We’re not going to lie, we were a little heartbroken when we saw that Ryan Gosling wasn’t joining his Drive and Only God Forgives collaborator Nicolas Winding Refn on his latest phantasmagoric odyssey of violence, The Neon Demon. Instead the Danish filmmaker has welcomed aboard Elle Fanning, Keanu Reeves and the always-welcome Christina Hendricks.

There’s flashes of Bava, Jodorwosky, and Lynch in this visually arresting look at the director’s latest which is playing Cannes 2016. The film follows an aspiring model’s trip through the LA modelling industry. Don’t go expecting the high-camp of Linda Gray soap Models Inc.
