Paul Verhoeven’s first film since 2006’s Black Book is one of the year’s upcoming cinematic highlights.
Titled Elle, the project sees him team-up with Isabelle Huppert in this tale of a CEO attacked in her home, who seeks to turn the tables on her assailant.
Verhoeven’s cinematic aesthetic has been sorely missed over the last decade – so we’ve high hopes he can recapture the success of his eclectic body of work which has given us Showgirls, Robocop, Basic Instinct and Total Recall amongst others.
Elle is pencilled in for a September 21 release in France. International dates are likely to follow in late 2016, early 2017.
