Iconic screen composer Ennio Morricone has a lot to celebrate this week – particularly his nomination for Best Original Score at the 2016 Academy Awards for his gorgeous contribution to Tarantino western, The Hateful Eight. With this little boost comes the first trailer for a documentary about the cinema great, titled The Glance of Music.
Giuseppe Tornatore directs the project which sees the maestro recount his lengthy career which has seen collaborations with Sergio Leone, Bernardo Bertolucci, John Carpenter, Brian De Palma, Roland Joffé and Quentin Tarantino. Morricone is the man behind incredible scores such as Once Upon a Time in the West, The Mission, Cinema Paradiso and countless others.
