It’s been a while since a direct to video thriller had such an esteemed cast as Misconduct – a film that pairs up screen titans Anthony Hopkins and Al Pacino – as well as young talents Josh Duhamel, Julia Stiles and Val Cherish’s baby girl, Malin Akerman.
Misconduct is the debut directorial feature from The Grudge producer Shintaro Shimosawa – however, it marks a distinct move away from the horror genre. The official synopsis notes: “When an ambitious young lawyer takes on a big case against a powerful and ruthless executive of a large pharmaceutical company, he soon finds himself involved in a case of blackmail and corruption.”
We’re not expecting too much from this so if we get a few scenery chewing scenes of fun between Hopkins and Pacino we’ll be delighted – and shirtless Duhamel – but that goes without saying. Byung hun Lee, Glen Powell, and Alice Eve also star.
Misconduct hits VOD 5th February 2016.
