Australian science-fiction/horror Infini is getting some great responses back in its native homeland and from the look of the first trailer, it’s easy to see why. Director Shane Abbess sophomore feature looks like it’s channelling a little bit of Alien combined with a small dose of Event Horizon, which is a winning formula if ever we heard one.
The project sees “an elite ‘search and rescue’ team transport onto an off-world mining-facility to rescue Whit Carmichael, the lone survivor of a biological outbreak.”
Complete with an impressive cast headed by Australian actors Daniel MacPherson (UK audiences might remember him from The Bill, but he’s since gone on to bigger and better things in Aus), Luke Hemsworth, and British actor Bren Foster.
